Seattle - Kells Irish Restaurant is gearing up for its 29th annual St. Patrick’s Irish Festival.  The celebration will feature live Irish music, dancing, traditional foods and much more.

Every year hundreds of people from all over the world come to the Kells St. Patrick’s Irish Festival. The festival tent will be up for Saturday, St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th. The area will provide extra room in Post Alley which will be closed to through traffic.

The festival includes a great line up of Irish Bands direct from Ireland and the Pacific Northwest including:Mairtin O hUigin, Smokin' Shamrock's, Servants of the Rich, Stout Pounders, Liam Gallagher, Dre Lovett, Kevin McCormack, The Blarney Bhoys and Carrigaline. Live music will be performed on four stages; One in the Back Bar area, one in the tented area and one in the Kells banquet facility, upstairs. Plus, an additional stage at POST Restaurant & Lounge. Our neighbor will be participating in this year festivities again, adding over 2000 square feet of fun!

An array of traditional dishes will be on the menu for this year’s festival. Corned beef, Irish stew, Ballycastle Sausage Rolls and Ethna’s Irish Soda Bread, baked daily at Kells. Other delicious dishes and refreshments will be served throughout the celebration.

A $20 admission, for those 21 and over, will be charged at the door all day on St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17th (price Includes a Festival T-Shirt). Music will start at Noon on St. Patrick’s Day.
