Seattle - Kells Irish Restaurant is gearing up for its 26th annual St. Patrick’s Irish Festival. The celebration will feature live Irish music, dancing, traditional foods and much more.
Every year hundreds of people from all over the world come to the Kells St. Patrick’s Irish Festival. The festival tent will be up for Monday, March 16th and Tuesday (St.Patrick’s Day) March 17th. The area will provide extra room in Post Alley which will be closed to automobile traffic.
The festival includes a great line up of Irish Bands direct from Ireland and the Pacific Northwest including: The Dal Riada, Smokin' Shamrock's, Lift the Ball, Servants of the Rich, Ockham's Razor, Liam Gallagher and Bernie Irish Folk. Live music will be performed on four stages; One in the Back Bar area, one in the tented area and one in the Kells banquet facility, upstairs. Plus, a bonus stage at Post Restaurant & Lounge. Our new neighbor will be participating in this year festivities, adding over 2000 square feet of fun!
Traditional food will be another of the crowd pleasers at this year’s festival. Corned beef, Irish stew, Ethna’s Irish Soda Bread and other delicious dishes and refreshments will be served throughout the celebration.
A $20 admission, for those 21 and over, will be charged at the door all day on St. Patrick’s Day, Tuesday, March 17th (price Includes a Festival T-Shirt). Music will start at Noon on St. Patrick’s Day.
A portion of the proceeds from the Kells St. Patrick’s Irish Festival will benefit St. Vincent de Paul, helping homeless people in the Seattle area.
