Child Center is all about Kids and Families!
Providence Child Center provides a rich continuum of services for children including skilled nursing care, Montessori preschool education and child development and evaluation and assessment programs. The Children's Nursing Center is the only nursing facility in the Northwest providing skilled care exclusively for children in a residential setting. The Nursing Center provides 24-hour care to children with multiple disabilities and complex medical needs. 58 beds are dedicated to kids needing long-term chronic care and short-term respite, rehabilitation and hospice services. Children ranging in age from newborn through 21 years and their families receive respect and compassion in a warm, nurturing environment The Short Stay Program
While 50 of the Children's Nursing Center beds are dedicated to children who will live here for their entire childhood, eight beds are available for families seeking a short-term opportunity to place their child for respite, transition from hospital to home, medical evaluation or end-of-life care. Kids can come to stay for a few weeks or a few months, giving their families some time for renewal or simply a rest from the rigorous demands of caring for a child with special needs. The Kids-to-Kids Program allows children in the community an opportunity to serve kids with disabilities in a variety of ways. Jean Baton Swindells Family Resource Center Nearby or from across the region, families, caregivers and medical professionals can get solid, up-to-date information on the issues affecting children with special needs who they care for. The Family Resource Center will provide basic background, in-depth research on new techniques and other types of information to help caregivers make the best decisions for children.
